Get To Know Us
This isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to reset—built for people who are ready to do the work and need a stable environment to support it.

At GLS Housing, we know recovery isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress—one day at a time—with structure, accountability, and support.

We welcome men and women (18+) and house residents in separate homes to keep the environment focused and safe. This is not a co-living home.
What Does Intake Look Like?
We keep it simple and human. Intake starts with a conversation.

We want to learn who you are, where you’re coming from, and what you’re trying to build.
During intake, we’ll:

-
explain expectations clearly
-
review employment and meeting requirements
-
answer your questions
-
discuss placement (men's home or o women's home)
-
schedule testing and next steps if it's a fit
Our goal is not to overwhelm you. Our goal is to set you up to succeed from day one.
What Does Success Look Like?
Success isn't just staying sober- it's becoming stable.

It's when someone who came in unsure starts showing up:

-
on time
-
acountable
-
consistent
-
employed
-
committed to meetings
-
choosing community over isolation
We celebrate the small wins because small wins become a new life.
Why Sober Living Matter
Sober living homes are often the bridge between treatment (or a hard season) and independent life. They provide structure, routines, and accountability—without you having to figure everything out alone.
At GLS Housing, residents benefit from:

-
a sober environment with clear expectations
-
furnished living space and core utilities
-
required meetings and peer accountability
-
life skills support and routine building
-
random drug testing for protection and safety
-
a community that pushes progress, not excuses
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a trusted network of sober living homes across Detroit that offer more than shelter—homes that support routine, responsibility, and long-term stability.

Because we believe this: nobody is too far gone. Recovery is possible. Life can be rebuilt. And you don’t have to do it alone.
